You'd lay Leicester on Betfair if the liquidity was there, currently 2.3

By cashing in and not laying it on betfair he probably gave up about 20/25k i reckon.
Not easy getting your hands on that kind of money though (130ishK???). Probably doable though if you were willing to give up a decent percentage of that 20/25k to someone who might help.

Say the odds are 2-1, 3-1 and 6-1 on spurs , Arsenal and city.
You work out what you want as a return, say £125 k,
So you put £62.5k, 41.7k, and £20.8k on.
Then cross your fingers and hope man Utd or we don't win.
Simple.

It's a bet at the end of the day on Leicester winning the league.
So he should have let it ride, if they win he wins...simple!
MODERN GAMBLING IS SHIT!

Ah ok, you're right. Would've been 91k if he'd waited a day later. Or maybe 10-15k less if they'd lost.
Big decisions - nice position to be in though.

It's your attitude to risk.
If the Pinter would've waited till after the Watford game, he would've got closer to £125k.
But, if Leicester had lost, he would have got a lot less than £72k

Re: This leicester bet

As Leicester are just over evens now it's obviously a bad financial decision on value alone as the true value should be well over 100k.
It only takes one bad result though and that 72k will become a lot less. All very well being brave when it's someone else's money - completely different when it's your mortgage that could be cleared.

No youve got to ask yourself would i be better off cashing out now or going abit longer
Leicester next 3
Newcastle (H) Palace (A) Soton (H)
Spurs next 3
Villa (A) Ballmouth (H) Liverpool (A)
Arsenal next 3
WBA (H) Everton (A) Watford (H)
Arsenal and Spurs got European ties in the middle of those next 3 too. Without doubt you'd fancy Leicester to still be top after the next 3

The question you've got to ask yourself is, would you back Leicester to win the prem at 5-2( the price when he cashed out) with £72k???

People talking like he could walk away with nothing
With the games he had coming up his upside was alot more than his downside, should of gone another 2 or 3 league games at least

Have to be a pretty rich person to lay that off

for me, who likes a bet, you have to let it ride. especially with the next few games they have/had. you don't back Leicester at 5000/1 if you're potless so worst ways he/they could have cashed out in a month's time and still nick a few grand. bottle job cunts
